Thierry Metz (1956-1997) fue un poeta francés. También trabajó en obras de construcción como obrero y albañil. Thierry saltó a la fama en 1989 cuando Jean Cussat-Blanc, un poeta, publicó su obra. Thierry pudo escribir y publicar mientras realizaba trabajos esporádicos. En 1997, Thierry se suicidó sumido en la depresión y el alcoholismo tras la muerte de su hijo menor Vicent, atropellado por un coche a los ocho años. Recientemente Gallimard publicó Lettres à la bien-aimée et autres poèmes (Poésie/Gallimard no596 / 11-09-2025).
