Poeta irlandés nacido en Belfast, Padraic Fiacc (1924-2019), murió en un hogar de ancianos en el sur de Belfast, 10 días después de una visita privada del presidente Michael D. Higgins. Miembro de Aosdána desde 1981, año en que también recibió el Premio de Poesía de Irlanda, Fiacc fue un prolífico escritor de poesía a lo largo de su larga y turbulenta vida entre Nueva York y Belfast.
